In the reserves competition, Lloyd Meek rucked for Peel in East Fremantle’s seven-point win.
Stefan Giro
Played on the ball and forward for the game. He ran really hard through the lines and got plenty of the ball. He had five clearances, a couple of shots on goal and also found space with seven marks.
Harley Bennell
Played on the ball. It was a good hitout for Harley with 16 possessions in just over a half of football. He was clean around the contest and also really strong around the clearances and the centre square bounce. He also impacted when he went forward with 1.2.
Michael Apeness
Played ruck and forward in what was a good response from Mick this week and a really good effort against East Fremantle’s Jon Griffin. His follow up was much improved, he had three clearances and four first possessions. He was also able to push forward and take a couple of strong marks - with seven for the game - and kicking a goal.
Ethan Hughes
Played back for the game where he rolled off well and found space. He was one of our better defenders with his overlap run, ending up with 10 marks and 19 possessions for the game.
Taylin Duman
Played at half-back. He was another player who found a fair bit of the ball with 25 possessions and 14 marks. He was clean with the ball and was also strong around the contest with five tackles.
Tommy Sheridan
Played on the wing for the game where he had 21 possessions with 13 kicks. He worked hard and got back well to help the defence.
Tom North
Played on the ball and forward. He kicked a goal, had 20 possessions and also impressed with his ability to hit a target inside 50.
Shane Kersten
Played down back for the game. He took some really good marks, with two contested marks and he helped set up the play behind the ball with 15 kicks and four rebound 50s for the day.
Mitch Crowden
Played forward and inside mid. It was a solid day for Mitch although he didn’t get a lot of the ball. He had 14 possessions and his work-rate around the contest was strong where he tackled well.
Luke Strnadica
Played forward and also in the ruck. He took a couple of good marks on the lead and had seven possessions. He was good at bringing the ball to ground but didn’t hit the scoreboard this week.
Griffin Logue
Played in the backline in his return from injury. His follow-up and second efforts were good for his first game and it gives him something to build on.
Scott Jones
Played forward and in the ruck. He competed well in the air and had three contested marks. He was a good target forward and performed well in the ruck with nine hitouts.
Lloyd Meek
Played in the ruck in the reserves. It was another strong hitout for Lloyd, being able to get some good ruckwork in tough conditions when it was raining pretty heavily. He was still able to impact around the contest and help Peel’s reserves get first use.
