Defender Cameron Sutcliffe has accepted a one-match sanction for striking following Peel Thunder’s clash with Subiaco at Rushton Park on Saturday.
The incident occurred during the first quarter with Subiaco’s Kyle Halligan and was classified as carless, high contact with low impact.
The charged was upgraded to a two-week sanction due to Sutcliffe’s prior record at the WAFL tribunal, however it was downgraded to one-week with Sutcliffe’s early plea.
The suspension means Sutcliffe is ineligible for selection in both the WAFL and AFL this weekend.
In the AFL, Darcy Tucker has accepted a $1000 sanction for careless contact with an umpire during Fremantle’s clash with Sydney at the SCG on Saturday.
Making careless contact with an umpire is a fixed financial sanction of $1500, however Tucker accepted a $1000 sanction with his early plea.
