Defender Griffin Logue is hopeful that Fremantle can continue to play competitive football despite a recent tough run with injuries.
Star players Jesse Hogan and Stephen Hill are in doubt for Sunday’s clash with Carlton at Optus Stadium while forward Michael Walters has been ruled out with a one-match suspension, pending any potential appeal from Fremantle.
Logue said that there was an expectation that any Fremantle player can come in and play a valuable role on gameday.
“Injuries are a part of the sport and everyone knows that,” Logue said.
“We know that our system is good at the moment and we’ll run with that.
“We’ve got confidence in the team and the next man in, they’ll stand up and play their role.
“That’s what’s expected within the brotherhood and we’ve got full confidence that we can try and have a crack and keep going week by week.”

Logue himself is perhaps the best example of a player filling a vacant position after an injury.
He has slotted into the key defender role seamlessly after the disappointing loss of Alex Pearce for the season with an ankle injury.
He has averaged 7.5 marks per game in the past fortnight and, on average, is intercepting the football more than any other player this season with 11 intercept possessions and four intercept marks per game.
“I feel confident out there but that’s just how we’re taught to play anyway,” Logue said.
“I’m just here to come in and play my role and just try and do what’s best for the team.
“If I can take a few marks in the process of that, then that’s great but the majority, it’s just to try and play my role.”
