Schultz will make his debut in round one after the small forward arrived at Fremantle with pick no.57 in the 2018 NAB AFL National Draft.
Taberner’s selection was in doubt due to a minor calf injury, however the tall forward has been cleared to play for Sunday’s clash.
Taberner is joined by Rory Lobb and Cam McCarthy as Fremantle’s tall forwards for the clash, with Lobb playing his first game for Freo since joining the club from GWS in the off-season.
Midfielders Reece Conca and Travis Colyer will also play their first Fremantle games since joining the club from Richmond and Essendon respectively.
On top of the four new faces in Schultz, Lobb, Conca and Colyer, Fremantle’s team also includes a further five players who did not play in Freo’s final game of 2018 in Michael Walters, Luke Ryan, Andrew Brayshaw, Bailey Banfield and McCarthy.
Bounce down for the clash at Optus Stadium is at 3.20pm.
