Here’s who could come in for the clash.

The defender/midfielder hasn’t played at AFL level since round 13 2018 due to a knee injury last June and a hamstring injury in January. In Blakely’s most recent appearance against Essendon in round two 2018, he had 30 disposals, nine contested possessions and 12 marks.

In Wednesday’s media conference, senior coach Ross Lyon said Blakely would come under ‘serious consideration’.

“With two losses, you need to look more closely and also, you’re always trying to add to your team and bring a freshness if you can,” Lyon said referring to Blakely.

After going goalless in back-to-back games, McCarthy made way for Brennan Cox for Freo’s loss to Richmond in round eight. The forward has kicked 10 goals from his six appearances this season and, while he didn’t get a chance to push his case in the WAFL due to Peel having a bye, he isn’t too far away from Freo’s best 22.

Darcy has averaged 43 hitouts per game in the WAFL following his omission after round two.

On one hand, Rory Lobb’s 45 hitouts against Richmond may make it seem unwise to switch up Freo’s ruckmen. On the other hand, Lobb also had a big impact as a tall marking forward, taking four contested marks and three marks inside 50. If Darcy returned, it would allow Lobb to spend more time as that tall marking target.

The good form of Ryan Nyhuis has made it difficult for Taylin Duman to break back into the Freo lineup after his one-game suspension in round three. The defender has averaged 11 disposals, five marks and three rebound 50s from his three AFL appearances this season.

Logue is also competing for a spot in Freo’s backline with the defender chasing a return to AFL football after missing 2018 due to injury.

Logue made his return to WAFL football on 4 May for Peel against East Perth, where he had 14 disposals and three marks.

Ross Lyon recently praised the efforts of the young midfielder in the WAFL, but it’s hard to find a spot for the 20-year-old in Freo’s midfield at the moment. In his most recent WAFL appearance, Crowden racked up 27 disposals and 12 tackles in Peel's win against East Perth.

Bewley has been named as an emergency multiple times this season but is yet to make his debut. The mature aged draftee has impressed on the wing for Peel this season, averaging 20.5 disposals and four marks per game.

Schultz starred for Peel in his most recent WAFL appearance, kicking 3.2 with 16 disposals and four marks against East Perth. The 21-year-old small forward made his debut in round one against North Melbourne and has played three AFL games to date.
