Fremantle have made two changes to the line-up to face St Kilda on Sunday in the annual Starlight Purple Haze game at Optus Stadium.
Taylin Duman and Brandon Matera are Fremantle’s ins for the clash, replacing ruckman Sean Darcy (managed) and Lachie Schultz (omitted).
Both Duman and Matera impressed last weekend in a practice match for Peel against Perth.
Playing on the wing, Duman had 24 disposals and kicked two goals while Matera had 17 disposals and two goals.
The pair will make their season debuts on Sunday.
Opposition: Jack Steven managed by Saints
Duman last played for Fremantle in round 23 against Collingwood, where he had 24 disposals and eight marks in the backline.
Matera last played for Fremantle in round 20 against West Coast, where he kicked two goals with 17 disposals and four tackles.
The absence of Darcy for the game means that versatile key forward Rory Lobb is set to lead Fremantle in the ruck with likely support coming from fellow tall forward Matt Taberner.
Bouncedown for the game is at 3.20pm. Fans are encouraged to bring ‘A Purple Note for Purple Haze’ and donate $5 note to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which supports seriously ill children and their families.
