Fremantle rookie Odin Jones has been placed on the long-term injury list and will be sidelined for season 2025.

Jones is recovering from spinal surgery after fracturing a vertebrae after falling at a friend’s house last month.

The 19-year-old forward/ruck was selected from West Perth with pick number five in the 2023 Rookie Draft and recently signed a one-year contract extension to remain on the rookie list until the end of 2025.

Fremantle Executive General Manager Football Joe Brierty says the Club will continue to support Jones through his recovery.

“This is an extremely unfortunate outcome for Odin,” Brierty said.

“He’s a popular member of our playing group and we will continue to support him in his recovery every step of the way.”

Jones played 11 games across Peel Thunder’s league and reserves sides in 2024, booting 11 goals.

Fremantle have invited South Australians Isaiah Dudley and Baynen Lowe to train with the Club from Monday with a list spot now available.
