For the second year in a row, WA Good Food Guide have partnered with Purple Hands Foundation to deliver a unique dining experience at Cable Beach Amphitheatre to over 120 travelling students on the first night of the Kimberley 9s Carnival.

The team at Heyder & Shears specially helped create and design a Kimberley inspired three-course meal based on the input from students during their nutrition workshops with Fuel to Play.

Students were also asked to consider native ingredients in their workshop, which came to life with the final menu featuring local food and produce.

After a long day of fun in the sun playing football on the beach, travelling students were able to sit back and relax under the stars while they enjoyed their meal.

The student dining experience was delivered in partnership with the Purple Hands Foundation and WA Good Food Guide, along with Heyder & Shears – with special thanks to the below organisations:

  • Linley Valley Pork
  • Dirty Clean Food
  • Pezzano Enterprises
  • Tomorrow’s Tribe
