Fremantle are hopeful co-vice-captain Hayley Miller will be available for the RAC Derby clash with the West Coast Eagles on Saturday, after the midfielder missed the week 7 match against Carlton on the weekend.

AFLW High Performance Manager Corey Morris provided an update on Miller ahead of the side’s main training session.

“Hayley unfortunately had some calf soreness out of training last week,” Morris said.

“She’ll need to get through training this week to be available for selection.”

Forward Tara Stribley is progressing with her ankle rehab, following the news of a small fracture in her fibula.

“(She is) good – she returned to run last night on the AlterG (anti-gravity treadmill),” Morris said.

“We’ll look to continue to progress her run and then hopefully see her back into football over the next couple of weeks.”

Morris said captain Ange Stannett and co-vice-captain Áine Tighe are both tracking well with their knee injuries.

“(She is) really well – Ange has completed a couple of runs now and her strength is progressing well,” Morris said.

“Áine’s started some of her rehab in the gym, so she’s progressing really well also.”
