Fremantle’s AFLW team will return for their second official pre-season hit out, with a practice match against Collingwood at Fremantle Oval on Saturday 17 August at 10am WST.

This comes after Fremantle’s outstanding 56-point victory (71–15) over the West Coast Eagles in last Friday night’s official match simulation.

Speaking after last week’s match sim, Fremantle’s Aish McCarthy said the side is raring to go, and will take any opportunity to face an opposition with two hands.

“We've been working hard since February, which has been really nice to build up and then obviously a really big pre-season too, so it's nice to start playing games and seeing all our hard work pay off – but we're still building,” McCarthy said.

“I think we've been sick of playing each other over the last few weeks, so to actually try to bring our brand of footy to an opposition (has been great).”

The match is free to attend for all fans, with an opportunity to see the hard work and grit the side have dedicated towards their pre-season to date, as they gear up for round 1 of the 2024 NAB AFLW Season.

Please note for those attending, there will be no food or drinks available for purchase at the game.

The event will also be streamed live from Fremantle Oval via fremantlefc.com.au or the Official Club App from 10am WST for fans who are unable to attend in person.
