Fremantle assistant coach Jaymie Graham has informed West Coast he will not be pursuing the vacant senior coaching position.

Speaking to ABC before Fremantle’s round 21 clash with Essendon at the MCG, Graham revealed he had informed West Coast CEO Don Pyke of his decision during the week, stating the Club's culture a key factor in his decision to stay at Fremantle.

“I’m really comfortable in what I’m doing at Fremantle and I’m really enjoying the ride that we’re on and the journey we’re on," Graham said.

“I’ve been given a good opportunity to develop and progress in my coaching here at Fremantle.

“I spoke to Don Pyke during the week and informed him of my decision.

“It is clear I want to coach one day but I am not in a rush and really enjoying my role at Freo."

When asked about Fremantle's environment and its exciting forwards, Graham strongly believes they were the main reasons for wanting to continue the journey with Fremantle.

“The Club has a great culture and we have a really connected group and it is good to be a part of it," he said.

“That was the largest part of it really.
