Fremantle High Performance Manager Phil Merriman says Club captain Alex Pearce is progressing through his rehabilitation following the 29-year-old's surgery last week on his new forearm fracture.
“Moose (Alex Pearce) is going well. I think he’s getting the cast off today,” Merriman said.
“He will begin some light mobility work. We are hoping to see him towards the end of the year.”
Meanwhile, Merriman confirmed that veteran forward Michael Walters was making solid progress in rehabilitating the hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for the weekend’s RAC Derby.
“Walters is coming along well,” Merriman said.
“He’s doing a lot of volume, so he will be fit when he gets back. We are looking at around two weeks as a timeline.”

In positive news, young midfielder Matthew Johnson will be a test to play following the foot injury that saw him sidelined for the RAC Derby.
“He (Matthew Johnson) trained fully today, so he will be a test a little later on in the week to play,” Merriman said.
Additionally, Merriman confirmed that injured pair Ollie Murphy (abdomen) and Oscar McDonald (knee) could make their returns to the field by the end of the home and away season after extended stints on the sidelines.
“They’ve both just entered the football programs, so they are probably a few weeks away," Merriman concluded.
