Fremantle’s 2024 Retro Round jumper is here, with the Club celebrating its 30-year anniversary by calling back to the inaugural home jumper worn in 1995 for their round 22 clash with Geelong at Optus Stadium.
Freo will wear the traditional ‘anchor’ style jumper that includes the iconic red, green and purple colours worn during home games between 1995 and 2000.
It was first worn in the Club’s first ever home game played against Essendon at the WACA in round 2 of 1995, and in Fremantle’s first ever home win in round four against Geelong.
Against the Cats, Dale Kickett posted an impressive 26 disposals, five marks and five tackles, while Andrew Wills booted three goals from his 10 disposals.
It was also last worn against the Bombers in our inaugural Retro Round in 2019, as a nod to our 25th-year celebrations, a game where Michael Walters gathered 36 disposals, eight marks, seven clearances and two goals on the night.
This clash was also the final appearance for Club legends and great mates Aaron Sandilands and Hayden Ballantyne.
Both the traditional and long-sleeve versions of the jumper are now available to purchase online and in-store at The Dock team store.
A limited merino wool long-sleeve edition of the jumper is also available for those interested in the true Retro flavour.
These items are always in high demand so get in quick and secure your Retro Round merchandise ahead of our round 22 home game against Geelong.
