The Fremantle Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Farrell as a Director of the Club, effective 1 August 2024.

Farrell will serve a three-year term following the retirement of Andrea Hall from the board on 31 July, after more than eight years’ service to the Club.

Currently the Asset President of BHP Nickel West, Farrell has extensive experience in leadership and management roles within the resources industry across Australia and internationally.

Her business acumen and deep expertise across regional communities make her a valuable addition to the Fremantle Football Club Board.

Fremantle president Chris Sutherland expressed his enthusiasm for the appointment and thanked Andrea Hall for her dedicated service.

“We’re pleased to be able to secure someone of Jessica’s calibre,” Sutherland said.

“Her appointment will bring valuable insights and experience and continue our planned succession within our Board.

"Jessica has a deep respect for diversity and inclusion and has played a leading role in female representation and fostering inclusive workplaces.

“I extend my deepest gratitude to Andrea Hall for her contribution and leadership throughout her term.

“As the Chair of the Risk and Integrity Committee, Andrea has been instrumental in improving the Club’s culture and ensuring we maintain a proactive approach to risk management.

“Her expertise and strategic direction have not only protected the Club’s interests but have also contributed to our continued growth and stability.”

Farrell joins current Board Members Chris Sutherland (President), Craig Carter, Colleen Hayward AM, Tony Grist, James Clement, Sasha Pendal, Nick Ellery, and Graham Kerr.

Craig Carter's term on the Board will conclude on November 30, 2024 after ten years of service during which he has made an extensive and highly impactful contribution.

Graham Kerr will replace Craig as chair of the Finance and Infrastructure Committee at this time. Nick Ellery will replace Andrea as chair of the Risk and Integrity Committee on her retirement.
