Fremantle has made one change ahead of their round five clash with Port Adelaide on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.

Neil Erasmus comes into the playing 23 and has been named on the bench as he replaces the injured Michael Frederick.

Frederick’s pace will be missed with the 23-year-old speedster sidelined due to a low-grade hamstring injury he sustained in the Club’s narrow loss to Carlton in round four.

Erasmus travelled with the team last week as an emergency following his 36 disposals and six tackles for Peel in round one of the WAFL.

Sam Switkowski has overcome a minor calf complaint from the Carlton game and has been named at half forward.

Sean Darcy had travelled to Adelaide last Sunday and was a test to play after missing the first four games of the year after undergoing minor knee surgery in the preseason, but the Club has elected to not play the 203cm ruckman in the Saturday night clash.

“Sean will continue to build towards playing next week” Fremantle Executive General Manager of Football Joe Brierty said.

The Club’s extended bench of Erasmus, Bailey Banfield, Ethan Hughes, Matt Johnson and Jaeger O'Meara features the substitute who will be named one hour before the bounce.

Fremantle and Port Adelaide will bouncedown at 5.30pm WST on Saturday with the game broadcast live on 7mate and Fox Sports and streamed live on Kayo Sports.
