Fremantle will look to start their season 2-0 with the Club naming their final team of 23 to face North Melbourne in the round two clash at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

Brandon Walker will make his return to the AFL team in what will be his first game for the senior side since sustaining a patella tendon injury in round 18 last year against Collingwood.

Walker played a full match for Peel over the weekend in their pre-season game against East Perth, with the pacey defender impressing with his burst off half-back and ability to break the opposition lines.

Key Forward Matthew Taberner will also make his return to the side in place of Brennan Cox, who suffered a high-grade hamstring injury in the Club’s round one win over Brisbane.

It will be Taberner's first AFL game since round four against Adelaide last year, with the key forward returning from a back injury that kept him out for the majority of 2023.

Jaeger O’Meara has overcome a minor knee concern that saw him withdrawn late last week, returning to the side for his first game of the season.

The 30-year-old will add valuable experience to the Fremantle team and rounds out the bench alongside Josh Draper, who earlier today was announced by the Club to be making his AFL debut this weekend.

Karl Wonrer (concussion), Oscar McDonald (knee) and Brennan Cox (hamstring) are the outs this week, while Neil Erasmus has moved from sub to emergency.

Bouncedown for Saturday’s game is 10.45am WST with the game to be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, as well as streamed live on Kayo Sports.

The sub for the game will be confirmed one hour before bouncedown on Saturday.
