Fremantle defender Jordan Clark has called Caleb Serong the 'ultimate professional' following his Club record 46 disposal game against the Brisbane Lions in round one.

“I think if everyone took a leaf out of his book (Serong), you’d be a half-decent player,” Clark said post-match.

“I think it speaks for itself (Caleb’s game), there aren’t really any words that I can say that do justice to it, but he’s a superstar.

“He’s a pro with what he does. The way he prepares for games and the way he works on his craft. He nails it.”

The disposal record was previously held by Peter Bell and David Mundy who both had 44 disposals. Serong’s 46 disposals were accompanied by 10 clearances, seven tackles and six score involvements.

Clark also complimented Club debutant Jeremy Sharp who led Fremantle for inside 50’s with eight.

“Sharpy, it’s good to be back playing with him, I played a bit of junior footy with him,” Clark said.

“His running is his absolute one wood so to see him late there just absolutely burn up and down the ground, really exposing the opposition in that way, it’s been really promising to see.

Fremantle will now face North Melbourne following a six-day break at Marvel Stadium next Saturday.

“Full focus will go into reviewing this (game), put the feet up tomorrow and recover up, try and get all the soreness out and then move onto North Melbourne,” Clark said.
