New recruit Jeremy Sharp will play his first match for the Club against an AFL opposition after Fremantle confirmed its extended team for its AAMI Community Series match against Port Adelaide on Friday night.
Fremantle have named a 26-man team, plus four emergencies for the final pre-season match bouncing down at 5pm WST against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The clash will offer fans a look at another off-season recruit Oscar McDonald as well as draftee Cooper Simpson, while SSP recruit Pat Voss comes into the starting line-up after featuring late in the match simulation against West Coast.
Tom Emmett (illness) and Jye Amiss (quad cork) will miss the clash, joining Luke Jackson (concussion), Michael Frederick (hamstring), and Nathan O’Driscoll (knee) on the sidelines after playing against West Coast last week.
The Club decided not to risk Amiss for a pre-season game to ensure he was available for round one. The forward has still been named as an emergency along with Will Brodie, Brandon Walker and Corey Wagner.
Unlike last week’s match simulation, this week’s game will allow fans to follow all the stats from the game live. Click here to view the match centre.
The AAMI Community Series match against Port Adelaide will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
