Get ready for an epic day of sun-soaked fun as the Fremantle Dockers and Cockburn ARC join forces to bring you the School Holiday Footy Splash for another year!

The event will take place Friday 19 January between 3pm and 6pm at Cockburn ARC aquatic and basketball facilities, as well as outdoor activities on Legacy Oval.

The event provides the chance for some free fun in the sun before school returns, as well as the chance to meet some of your favourite Freo players who will be signing autographs between 3.30pm and 5.30pm. Make sure to bring down your favourite guernsey, hat, footy or any fan gear and say hello to some of the boys. 

On top of all that, kids will have a chance to have their face painted, take part in some footy activities, take on the inflatable obstacle course and other pool activities. Mascots, a DJ and food trucks will all be available on the oval and club partners will be hosting some activations throughout the day as well.

*Please note: Due to ongoing maintenance issues the Cockburn ARC waterslides are closed until further notice.

Last year’s Footy Splash was a massive hit! The City of Cockburn and the Club are committed to continuing to provide exciting events that connect the Cockburn community with the Club.

“The City of Cockburn is thrilled to again throw open the doors at Cockburn ARC so local kids can get to know their Fremantle Dockers heroes at the unique free Footy Splash school holiday event,” City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said. 

“Our Memorandum of Understanding with the Freo Dockers helps us provide exciting events where great memories and connections are made, and Footy Splash is just one element of that.

“About 4,000 people attended last year’s Footy Splash. It’s a great way to finish the summer school holidays before the school year begins and kick off the new footy season with a family focus here at Cockburn ARC.”

The day is completely free so all you need to do is come on down and have fun with some of your favourite players. We can’t wait to see you all there!

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  • Pool access will be free during the event.
  • Wheelchair, pram and pedestrian access will be available via Remembrance Ave.
  • Get down early as parking may be limited.
  • Slip, slop, slap, seek and slide!
