This Sunday’s meeting between the Fremantle Dockers and North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium marks 18 years since Freo’s first win against the Kangaroos.

The round five win at the WACA in 1998 was the the fourth meeting between the clubs.

Since that win, Freo has been on the Roos' tail – winning a further nine times – getting the tally to 10-16 after 26 matches.

Freo averages around 87 points against the Roos, but the club’s highest score came at Domain Stadium in round four 2003, when they piled on 25.17 (167) to win by 45-points.

Fremantle’s biggest win came in round eight last year when they demolished the Roos by 73 points at Domain Stadium.

Nat Fyfe took home three Brownlow votes with 37 disposals, while Michael Walters led the scoring with four majors.

Fyfe performs well against the Roos, he averages just over 27 disposals – second only to his high of 29 against Gold Coast.

The Brownlow medallist's first game against the Roos in round 10 2010 resulted in 27 disposals and three goals.

A year later in round four Fyfe collected another 32 disposals and booted two goals.

The 24-year old also sits on 99 career goals – averaging just under one goal per game – and will become only the 16th Fremantle player to reach 100 career goals if he scores against the Roos on Sunday.

Matthew Pavlich has kicked more goals (36) against the Roos than any other Fremantle player and also holds the record for most goals in a match against the Roos, booting 8.2 as Freo won by 53 points in round 12 2008.

The Fremantle veteran has also played the most matches (17) by a Fremantle player against the Roos – having first gone against them in round 10 2000 – and is followed closely by recently-retired Luke McPharlin on 15.
