The Fremantle Dockers, in conjunction with Decmil, are pleased to announce that the popular and successful “Live the Dream” program will be returning in 2015.
Live the Dream is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 16 young Australians aged 16-17 years of age to become immersed in the culture of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and ‘live the life’ of an AFL player for five days.
It offers money can’t buy experiences and aim’s to deliver skills and behaviours which can deliver long-term benefits to the individual and their local community.
Activities in the five-day program include:
- Appointment of a player mentor for each participant, including one-on-one interactive sessions
- Leadership development training
- Physical and skills sessions
- Conditioning and injury prevention sessions
- Nutrition, media training and player welfare information sessions
- Game day involvement
Thanks to Decmil, the cost of the program for the 16 participants is free, including meals, accommodation and apparel for the program. Travel costs to and from Perth are also included for participants travelling from regional areas.
It is important to note that football talent is not a requirement for participation in this program. We welcome students from all walks of life.
