Fremantle have confirmed that Brennan Cox will make his return to the Fremantle line-up against Brisbane at Optus Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The key defender has missed the past three games with an ankle issue after sustaining the injury in Freo’s round 17 clash with Carlton.

The omitted Hamling will join Matthew Johnson, Nathan Wilson, and Ethan Stanley as the emergencies for the clash.

One of the four will be named as the tactical sub one hour prior to bouncedown.

Sunday’s game will kick off a stretch of three consecutive fixtures in Perth for the Club, with the RAC Derby against West Coast and a round 23 clash with Port Adelaide to come.

Defender Luke Ryan spoke to media on Friday and stressed that the playing group were committed to finishing off the year as strong as possible.

“We want to take momentum into next year and give ourselves a lot of belief,” Ryan said.

“We don’t want to hang the boots up and leave it as is, we want to keep playing our best footy.

“On Sunday we have got to try and play our brand, which is locking the ball in our front half and applying the pressure.”

The clash is presented by the City of Cockburn – Home of the Fremantle Dockers.

Bouncedown for the clash is at 2.40pm WST and will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7, Fox Footy and it can also be streamed on Kayo.
