Fremantle’s Kellie Gibson and Beatrice Devlyn will miss multiple weeks of the NAB AFL Women’s season after picking up injuries during Freo’s 12-point pre-season win against Adelaide at TIO Stadium on Saturday night in Darwin.
Recruited from Adelaide during the 2017 off-season, Gibson is expected to miss six to eight weeks with a hip flexor injury.
The midfielder / forward was injured during an innocuous tackle against her former side in the third quarter and she played no further part in the game.
Devlyn is expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken finger.
The rookie listed player was injured by an accidental kick in the second quarter and didn’t take any further part in the game.
The defender underwent surgery on her finger on Monday.
