Walyalup fans now have the chance to own a piece of Club history as our 2023 Indigenous clash jumpers from our Sir Doug Nicholls Round clash with Narrm go live for auction.
Walyalup and Narrm became the first teams in VFL/AFL history to play a game in Melbourne under the traditional names of their Clubs' lands as Walyalup won by seven points in a thrilling battle.
The auction is now live until Monday 5 June and gives fans the opportunity to bid on the playing 23’s match-worn and signed Indigenous clash jumpers, designed this year by Carly Grey in collaboration with Alex Pearce.
Pearce and Grey are close friends who hail from palawa country, and the jumper tells the story of Pearce’s journey from Tasmania to Noongar country to play for Fremantle. Pearce follows in the footsteps of Michael Walters, Des Headland, Antoni Grover, Troy Cook, Dale Kickett and Roger Hayden as players who have contributed to designs for the Club’s Indigenous jumpers.
Luke Jackson's kit will be one of the hottest items after his 19 disposals, eight clearances and goal pushed Walyalup to victory, as well as Jye Amiss' after his three goal performance and six score involvements.
Bidding is currently open and runs for 10 days, so don’t miss out! The auction will close Monday 5 June.
