Fremantle are back on the Friday Night stage in round six for what will be an especially meaningful occasion as the Club’s annual Len Hall Tribute Game.

Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and get to the game earlier to ensure they are in their seats for the 6pm Observance Ceremony ahead of bouncedown against the Western Bulldogs at 6.10pm.

This year, Fremantle will pay tribute to Australia’s Vietnam Veterans, with 2023 marking the 50th anniversary of the end of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War.

Approximately 60,000 Australians served in the Vietnam War, more than 3,000 were wounded and 523 tragically lost their lives. Those wishing to pay tribute to our Vietnam Veterans are encouraged to be in their seat by 5.30pm for a lap of honour.

Transperth services operate differently on weekdays. Due to the clash with afternoon peak, direct trains and the suburban event bus network will not operate before the game.

There is also a scheduled shutdown on the Midland and Airport lines, passengers on these lines will need to allow extra time for rail replacement buses.

Here’s how you can ensure you get to the game early.

  • Allow more time to get to the game than you usually would. Public Transport is included in your ticket three hours before and after the game
  • Catch a timetabled service to Perth, then transfer to an Armadale Line train service to Stadium Station, or the CBD Shuttle Route 661 which travels along St Georges Tce and Adelaide Tce to Optus Stadium
  • Plan your journey at transperth.wa.gov.au

Post-game public transport will run the same as any other Fremantle home game. You can catch the train or a suburban event bus, which will operate for 45 minutes after the game.

ANZAC APPEAL
This year, fans will have the opportunity to donate to the ANZAC Appeal at the game. The ANZAC Appeal is a fundraising event run by RSLWA for over 100 years. All funds go directly to supporting our current and ex-serving members with welfare and advocacy support and assist veterans who are dealing with a myriad of issues from mental health, physical illnesses, transitioning into the civilian world, navigating work and homelessness. The funds raised in this appeal goes to assisting them in any way we can.
