Michael Frederick is expected to return to the Fremantle line-up for Friday’s Gather Round clash with Gold Coast, according to Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell.
The forward missed the Crows clash over the weekend after he sustained an eye injury in Freo’s RAC Derby win over West Coast the week prior.
Bell gave an update on Frederick in the round five Perth Radiological Clinic injury update ahead of Freo’s Friday afternoon fixture with the Suns at Norwood Oval.

“We are going to get some specialist advice tomorrow and we will have a much clearer picture then,” Bell said.
“We are really confident that Michael will be available.”
Meanwhile, Matt Taberner has returned to Perth for further investigation on a back injury that followed the match against Adelaide at the weekend.
“Some bad news for Matt in that he woke up a bit sore post-match,” Bell said.
“He has had a scan and we are sending him back home for further investigation.
“He will be unavailable this week with a disc issue in his back.”
Heath Chapman (calf), Travis Colyer (knee) and Nat Fyfe (foot) are continuing to progress with their rehabilitation, while Liam Reidy has been added to the injury list with an abdomen injury.
The developing ruck was a late omission ahead of Peel’s season opener against East Fremantle on Good Friday, replaced in the Peel side by key defender Hugh Davies.
