Fremantle have failed to back up their RAC Derby victory as they faltered against a dominant Adelaide in a 39-point loss on Saturday.

The Crows made it back-to-back wins in style at Adelaide Oval, proving too good in a 17.9 (111) to 10.12 (72) victory.

Fremantle couldn’t handle the Crows pressure and struggled with their ball movement, with Adelaide on top for long periods.

Jordan Dawson (28 disposals and a goal) set up the Crows' win, while their forward line worked nicely as Taylor Walker booted four goals and Izak Rankine and Josh Rachele slotted three each.

Caleb Serong (28 disposals) and Andrew Brayshaw (31) worked tirelessly for Fremantle, but they had few answers as they fell to a 1-3 win-loss record.

Freo had three multiple goalkickers through Bailey Banfield, Matt Taberner and Lachie Schultz, and there were singles to Luke Jackson, Ethan Hughes, Jye Amiss and Liam Henry.

It was an improved effort from the midfield, making the most of Sean Darcy’s work in the ruck to win the clearances by nine.

But little came from that grunt work, with Adelaide matching Freo’s 51 inside 50s and making much more from their opportunities, with 12 marks inside 50 to six.
