Fremantle forward Sam Switkowski has earned a Goal of the Year nomination for his brilliant goal in the third quarter of Freo's round one clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.

Sneaking past two St Kilda defenders and breaking a tackle in the process, Switkowski ran across goal from the boundary line to put Fremantle in front after scores were level coming out of half time.
