Alex Pearce
Played across halfback and was very good with his defensive pressure and rebound - went forward late and kicked two goals
Sam Collins
Played fullback and again was strong in the air and in the one-on-one contests playing on Watson from East Fremantle, who was an AFL listed player for Carlton last year
Ryan Nyhuis
First game of league and played on Brett Peake tough day for him but will learn a lot playing on ex-AFL players
Ethan Hughes
Played halfback and his marking and rebound were a feature in getting us going and some provided some good movement inside 50
Ed Langdon
Had 32 touches and was solid playing on the wing. He worked hard into defence and then forward, the key now is to back it up with another good performance
Darcy Tucker
Played a solid game on the wing. His kicking was very good going forward and worked very hard after a quiet game last week
Matt de Boer
Had 34 touches playing in the midfield, as always he gave 100% effort and was the main reason at times we stayed in the game with some of his hard contests in the middle
Connor Blakely
Was in the midfield all game and played his part in the win by always competing hard in the contest.
Brady Grey
Played in the midfield and was accountable for East Freo’s Liam Anthony, an ex AFL player who had 34 touches last week. Grey did a great job keeping him to 23 touches this week
Josh Deluca
Played half forward and was very good with his pressure and chasing. He’s getting better each week after missing a lot of footy last year
Matthew Uebergang
Played forward and back at times is really growing each week and learning a lot as a first year player. Kicked one goal and was involvement in a couple more
Tanner Smith
Played as a key forward all game and kicked four goals. Always gave us a contest in the air and took some good marks and led well
Jack Hannath
Rucked most of the day and had 55 hit outs. Worked hard around the ground and gave us a strong contest in the air
