Fremantle’s playing list have rounded out another week of pre-season training with a Friday morning match simulation in perfect conditions at Victor George Kailis Oval.

See some of the names that impressed below.

Hayden Young
Was in a bit of everything, breaking lines out of defence and helping to generate scoring opportunities for Team Purple. He was the key driver of Nat Fyfe’s second goal, with a launching kick out of full back towards a contest in the centre square. The ball spilled out the back as Sam Switkowski took advantage, collecting the football inside 50 to Fyfe.

Nat Fyfe
Kicked two for the morning, joining Matt Taberner and Jye Amiss as some of the other multiple goal kickers for the day. Fyfe took two clean marks to give himself the set shot opportunities, with the first courtesy of a low flat kick from James Aish while the second was a strong overhead mark from a Switkowski forward entry.

Lachie Schultz
Worked extremely well up the ground and was involved in a number of scoring chains for his side. Used slick ball movement and showed his evasiveness through traffic.

James Aish and Sam Switkowski
Both kept busy and worked hard between the 50m arcs, acting as the link up players to help create scoring opportunities for Team Purple. Aish capped off his performance with a long bomb set shot from outside 50, punching the ball through the air as it sailed through the big sticks.

Neil Erasmus
Used his composure and stood tall in a few instances to shrug off tackles. Continued to link up well with Matthew Johnson, as they looked for each other to work the ball down the ground for Team Grey.

Max Knobel and Liam Reidy
Battled it out well in the ruck all day, with Sebit Kuek also featuring in the contests at times, in what was a great exposure opportunity for the young rucks. Reidy’s day was highlighted by a moment in which he plucked the ball out of the ruck before sending a long clearance kick to Taberner who marked and goaled.
