Fremantle have invited two players to join the Club at training throughout pre-season as it looks to potentially fill a vacant rookie spot.
Sam Stubbs from Perth Football Club and Liam Serong from Gippsland Power are in consideration for Supplementary Selection Period selection, should Fremantle choose to do so before the deadline in February.
Stubbs, 25, is a 186cm forward who played 12 games and kicked 23 goals for Perth in 2022.
Serong, 18, is a 193cm key position player who impressed for Gippsland late this season after an injury interrupted year. He is the brother of Caleb Serong.
Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell said Fremantle had the option to fill the spot either in the SSP or the mid-season draft.
“We’ve welcomed Sam and Liam to train with us this pre-season as two of our options to fill our vacant rookie spot,” Bell said.
“If they are not added in the SSP, they would also be in consideration in the mid-season draft.”
