Live the Dream, which is proudly supported by Decmil is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 16 young Australians to become immersed in the culture of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and ‘live the life’ of an AFL player for five days.

Live the Dream offers participants a rare opportunity to develop skills and behaviours, which can deliver long-term benefits to the individual and their local community.

The program will include a tour of Fremantle headquarters and Patersons Stadium, an boot camp session at the Irwin Army Barracks located in Karrakatta as well as leadership and health and well being training sessions.

The Live the Dream program commences on Friday 11 July with Fremantle players Paul Duffield, Tommy Sheridan, Hayden Crozier, Stephen Hill, Chris Mayne, Nick Suban, Zac Clarke and Colin Sylvia as the participant’s mentors.

Meet Lewis Williams

Lewis is currently in year 11 and is the sports captain at Ellenbrook Christian College.

He plays football for the Ellenbrook Dockers and has represented his school at the National Swimming Championships for the past three years.

The 16-year-old has also been a junior AFL umpire for four years.

“I have a huge passion for sport, especially AFL,” Lewis said.

“My dream is to have a career in the sporting industry and I feel that the skills I will learn through the Live the Dream program will help me achieve this."

Lewis’s teacher, Kim Cliff, said he is a highly respected student.

“Lewis is well regarded by younger students, his peers and teachers,” he said.

“He would benefit immensely from this experience and build his confidence as a leader and role model within the college, his sporting teams and the wider community.”
