A breakout Orlagh Lally performance and two goals from Aine Tighe helped Freo secure a nail-biting three-point RAC Derby win at Optus Stadium on Thursday.
A two-time All-Ireland champion in her native game, Lally showed why the Fremantle recruiters brought her Down Under with three contested marks highlighting her 10 disposal performance.
And Tighe franked what is looking to be a breakout year as she continues to hit the scoreboard as a marking target up forward.
Lally was joined by countrywoman Amy Mulholland and first year players Megan Kauffman and Tara Stribley in the middle of the huddle as they sang the song for the first time.
“It’s really special. I thought we might have got to sing the team song a bit sooner, but it was all the sweeter having to wait until today,” Lally said.
“I’ll happily get covered in Powerade again if it means we get another win.”

Lally feels she’s finding her feet after her fifth game of Aussie rules, and paid credit to Tighe and Mulholland for their guidance since arriving in the country two months ago.
“I feel I’m adapting to it a bit better now, it’s taken that couple of weeks to get my head around it and get used to that oval ball,” Lally said.
“(The ball is) slowly becoming a bit more friendly to me and cooperating a bit better.
“I’m so lucky to have Aine there to look up to, and the same with Amy. The two of them took me in with open arms and if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
“There’s Ash Mac (Aisling McCarthy) as well on the Eagles team, there’s a bit of Irish rivalry there as well.
“At the end of the day, everyone is friends but it’s always nice to get a win like that out there.”
Captain Hayley Miller said post game that Lally has found her role as a forward.
“She’s really strong in the contest, she took a few contested marks and got it going forward for us, that’s what we want,” Miller said.
“She’s played a bit of back and a bit of forward. It can be really hard, especially when you’re learning the game, to be thrown around.
“I think we’ve found her spot on that half forward line.”
