Madi Scanlon and Roxy Roux will have to prove their fitness to earn selection for Thursday’s RAC Derby against West Coast at Optus Stadium.

In the Perth Radiological Clinic injury update, Senior Physio Gabby Charlton was hopeful the pair would be fit to play.

Scanlon missed the second half of Fremantle’s draw against Carlton in round four due to a wrist injury.

“Madi didn’t play the second half against Carlton as she hurt her wrist in a collision just before half time,” Charlton said.

“Thankfully, scans have cleared Madi of any sinister injury so we hope to see her back soon.”

Roux was omitted after round two but was ready to return to the line-up before sustaining an ankle injury at training.

“Roxy had a minor injury in a training drill last week,” Charlton said.

“Unfortunately, she wasn’t quite ready to go over the weekend against Carlton.

“She’s looking significantly better now, and if she makes it through the training session tonight, we hope she’ll be available round five.”

Charlton said both Gabby O’Sullivan (hamstring) and Janelle Cuthbertson (concussion) had pulled up well after returning to play in round four against the Blues.

“Gabby returned after a minor hamstring strain and JC played her first game after her concussion in round one,” Charlton said.

“They’ve both pulled up really well and it’s great to have their leadership back on the field for us.”

Bouncedown for the public holiday clash is at 1.10pm on Thursday and tickets are on sale now.
