The Fremantle Dockers take on the West Coast Eagles this Saturday 13 August at Optus Stadium in RAC Derby 55. Bounce down is at 5.40pm.
The RAC Derby match will be Club legend David Mundy’s final home game in front of the Purple Army for the home and away fixture, after he announced early last week that the 2022 season will be his last.
To honour the amazing career of David Mundy, the Club is encouraging all members and fans to arrive early and stay post-match for the awarding of the Ross Glendinning-Allan Medal, RAC Derby trophy presentation and of course the emotional farewell lap of honour for David Mundy, which will be supported by Perth band and Freo fans, Ra Ra Viper.
#DoItForDave
We are also asking members and fans to #DoItForDave and pack out Optus Stadium on Saturday to make this the most memorable RAC Derby to date and help celebrate a legend of our Club. Farewell David Mundy placards will also be handed out to fans and Dave's career highlights will be played on the big screen pre-game for you to enjoy.
We encourage all fans going to the game to use the hashtag #DoItForDave when posting to their social media channels.
GETTING TO OPTUS STADIUM
Transperth services have been extended to accommodate for the post-match presentations, allowing an additional 15 minutes with the final Transperth buses leaving 60 minutes after the game.
Your footy ticket includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours either side of the match, so be prepared and ensure you plan your journey ahead with Transperth’s Journey Planner, please click here for further information.
If asked, show your ticket to the driver or inspector. Keep in mind, you must have your football ticket or membership on you to travel for no extra cost.

RAC Road Safety photobooth
Head over to Lobby 117 and Lobby 101 where RAC are offering fans the chance to win the Ultimate Footy Day out at the 2023 Fremantle home Derby, including the chance to toss the coin, tickets for you and three mates to watch the game and an official Freo Dockers prize pack!
Simply head to the photobooth and get your photo taken to pledge your support alongside RAC WA to be in for safer roads. We’ll also be displaying some of the best fan photos on the stadium screens during the quarter breaks.

Programmed Race the LED
Programmed is giving two lucky fans the opportunity to recruit a friend to take part in a race against the LED. If the contestants beat the LED, they will have the chance to win a $500 voucher and a Fremantle Dockers AFL team signed jumper!

A talented artist will be performing live at half time from the level 5 stage.
David Mundy Light Show
To honour the unbelievable career of David Mundy there will be a spectacular Optus Stadium Light Show at half-time, as we display David Mundy career highlights on the big screen. So stay in your seats during the main break, get the tissues ready and make some noise as we celebrate a champion of our game.
Arrive early… avoid delays
Having your digital ticket ready prior to arrival and getting to the stadium early will ensure you are not caught in long queues outside the stadium in the lead-up to the game.
Please remember to practice social distancing at each checkpoint, when you enter the gates the scanner for digital ticket(s) is located to the right of the turnstile entry gates. Please do not bring bags larger than an A4 piece of paper.
Leave your cash at home
Optus Stadium is currently a cashless venue meaning you will need to pay using EFTPOS at all food and beverage outlets.
Other key points:
- No cloaking facilities available. Don't bring bulky items.
- Practice good hand hygiene.
- If you feel unwell or have experienced any COVID-19 symptoms during the two weeks prior to this weekend’s game, please DO NOT attend. If you begin to feel ill whilst at the game, please make sure to notify an Optus Stadium representative immediately and follow the directions of any venue, club or AFL staff.

The City View Cafe will be OPEN.
The Goodwood restaurant will be CLOSED.
The Freo Clubhouse
The Freo Clubhouse in River View Rooms and Sky View Lounge will be open for the RAC Derby, you will need to show your ticket stating room access to receive entry.
