Fremantle have confirmed Kara Antonio has undergone surgery after sustaining a hamstring injury to her left leg.
The experienced leader sustained the injury at training throughout the week.
The Club will consult with the surgeon to determine Antonio’s playing outlook for Season 7 of the NAB AFLW Competition.
The pre-season injury comes as Antonio was preparing for her seventh season in the AFLW, with under a month to go until Fremantle’s season opener against Brisbane on Sunday 28 August.
