Key forward Rory Lobb will make his return after one week on the sidelines for Fremantle’s blockbuster Friday night clash with Melbourne at Optus Stadium.
Lobb last played for Fremantle agianst Sydney and is joined by Travis Colyer as Freo’s two inclusions for the game, replacing Bailey Banfield and the injured Nat Fyfe.
It will be Fremantle’s first ever game against Melbourne at Optus Stadium, ending a run of seven consecutive away games against the Dees.
Lobb is Fremantle’s leading goalkicker so far in 2022 with 30 from 16 games and will be a welcome addition as the team struggled to impact the scoreboard with seven goals in their draw against Richmond.
Colyer has 17 games to his name in 2022, coming on as the medical sub replacing Fyfe against the Tigers.
Banfield has been named as an emergency alongside Mitch Crowden, Lloyd Meek and Nathan Wilson.
One of the four will be named as the medical sub one hour prior to bouncedown.
Tickets for Fremantle’s retro round game, presented by 92.9 Triple M, are still on sale, with Fremantle wearing the 3D Anchor jumper they wore for away games between 1998 and 2001.
