Blake Acres and Heath Chapman are Fremantle’s two inclusions to take on Sydney in this weekend's Saturday Night Lights clash, presented by Programmed.
The pair both return after recovering from hamstring injuries to replace the omitted Ethan Hughes and Nathan Wilson in the Fremantle line-up.
Acres last played for Fremantle in their round 13 win over Hawthorn, while Chapman hasn’t been seen at AFL level since the Club’s round 11 victory over Melbourne.
Hughes and Wilson join Neil Erasmus and Lloyd Meek as Fremantle’s emergencies for the clash, with one of them to be named the medical sub an hour prior to bouncedown.
MATCH DAY INFORMATION
Senior Coach Justin Longmuir spoke on Wednesday on his desire to reward good form and keep as consistent a side as possible over the latter stages of the season.
“We’ve had two pretty good performances over the last two weeks and played some really strong footy,” Longmuir said.
“For me, that says a lot about the players in that they played their role for the team, and as a coach, I always like to reward good form.
“We haven’t had that consistency I don’t think this year, so I think it’s a good time of year to keep a consistent side out there, playing together, working together and getting that cohesion right heading into the pointy end of the season.”
Bouncedown for the clash is at 5.30pm WST, with the game broadcast live into WA on 7Mate and Fox Sports 503 and streamed live on Kayo.
