Thanks to co-major sponsors Programmed, Freo fans Gus Coelho and Karina Porto are off to NASA, Florida for the trip of a lifetime.
They were the lucky winners of Fremantle’s half-time giveaway at Freo’s Saturday night footy clash with Sydney, which was presented by Programmed.
The pair used the Fremantle Dockers app to take part in the half-time light show that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on 20 July 1969.
The Fremantle members were almost speechless when they were picked out of the crowd by Freo’s resident spaceman.
“I’ve never won anything in my life so I’m a bit shocked, I couldn’t believe it,” Gus said.
“We’re massive Freo fans, I’ve been going for them since I was eight years old.
“We want to thank Programmed a lot for making something awesome like this happen. I can’t believe it, so thank you to Programmed.
They will have the chance to tour the Kennedy Space Centre on their visit with $2000 spending money.
Karina said she loved the half-time light show and was looking forward to visiting Florida for the first time.
“That (the half-time show) was awesome. It was an awesome experience and I can’t believe it,” Karina said.
“We’ve been to New York before but we were thinking about going to Florida, we just didn’t have the time to and now it’s actually happening, I can’t believe we’re going.
“We’re so happy.”
