The festive season will soon be upon us and Freo, along with the City of Cockburn and Cockburn ARC, will be getting in the spirit with a range of activities during ‘A Very Cockburn Christmas’ on Saturday 15 December.
There will be loads of festive fun at Cockburn ARC from 2pm, including a ‘Slide ‘n’ Splash Party’ with face painting and a DJ in the aquatic area.
Following an AFLW training session in the afternoon, Victor George Kailis Oval will be transformed after 2pm with footy activities, inflatables and a ninja challenge.
You can meet and greet Fremantle’s AFLW players, who will also be involved in activities and provide free tours of the club’s training facility from 4pm.
All of the activities held on the oval are free, however there is a charge to enter the Cockburn ARC aquatic area.
As the sun sets, there will be a ‘Christmas on the Green’ event, featuring live performances, carols and an artisan market for Christmas shopping.
Due to a clash with Fremantle’s AFL training camp in Queensland, the men’s team will not be in attendance.
Fremantle will hold an additional open training session early in the New Year for fans to meet, get signatures and photos with members of the AFL team.
