The Fremantle Dockers Foundation, launched in June 2015, supports the important on and off field work of the Fremantle Football Club.
Community engagement and social inclusion is a key focus area and an application process is now open for charity and community organisations to become Associate ‘Friends of the Foundation’ through a formal alignment.
The Associate ‘Friends of the Foundation’ partnerships will sit alongside the principal partners and are reviewed annually by the club.
The Fremantle Dockers Foundation will support one event or campaign for each organisation it selects in 2016 as an Associate.
Organisations that are interested in applying are required to identify a signature event, campaign or cause they believe the foundation can help raise awareness for, through the use of the Fremantle Dockers brand and/or the use of a Fremantle player ambassador.
The Fremantle Dockers Foundation understands that it is increasingly important for charities to develop new and creative ways to raise awareness for the services they provide.
This is why campaigns that leverage the Fremantle Dockers brand can be so effective and why we encourage you to apply to become an Associate ‘Friend of the Foundation.’
With the assistance of the Fremantle Dockers profile, we could help your organisation:
- Build community involvement for a specific service or cause
- Bring attention to particular issues such as social inequality or health issues
- Increase brand awareness for the charity
- Offer ‘once in a life time’ experiences
Please note player involvement cannot occur during the players’ leave period during October and November.
Consideration must also be given to the 2016 AFL fixture (which will be released in late October) players’ training and playing schedules during the AFL season as any football commitments as a priority.
Applications close on Friday 20 November 2015
All applicants will be notified of the club's final decision by Friday 18 December, 2015.
