Fremantle could have up to five additional players available for selection for this weekend’s round 13 clash with Hawthorn at Optus Stadium on Saturday.

Executive General Manager of Football Peter Bell said Michael Walters, Matt Taberner, Sebit Kuek, Liam Henry and Neil Erasmus were all listed as a test to put their hand up for selection.

Nat Fyfe will also be available for selection after a successful return to football through the WAFL.

“He’s pulled up really well,” Bell said.

“He was pleasantly surprised at how well he pulled up, so he’ll be available for selection this week.”

Nathan O’Driscoll will unfortunately need two more weeks until he can be cleared to progress with the stress fracture in his foot.

“Nathan went in for scans earlier today, we were hoping that they would be able to clear him to progress, unfortunately there’s a little bit of healing that needs to happen before he can do that,” Bell said

“We’ll re-scan in a couple of weeks and hopefully then we can get the all-clear.”

Playing in his debut game for Peel Thunder on Saturday, mid-season recruit Sebit Kuek came off the ground after rolling his ankle, but Bell was confident it was only a minor injury.

“He was pretty exciting and showed us a bit,” Bell said.

“He rolled his ankle, he may be available this week. If he is to miss it won’t be for a long time, we’re expecting just the one week.”

Liam Henry and Neil Erasmus will both return from Health and Safety protocols this weekend, while small forward Joel Western is three weeks away from returning from a significant hamstring injury he suffered playing for Peel in round four.
