As the dust settles after a frenzied Trade Period, the eyes of AFL fans turn toward next month’s NAB AFL Draft.
But for officials, there are a handful of important deadlines between now and the 25 November draft day in Sydney, with two scheduled list lodgements and delisted free agent periods.

On Monday 31 October, clubs are required to submit their first list lodgement. The first delisted player free agency period commences the following day.
During this first free agency period, running from Tuesday 1 November to Tuesday 8 November, all clubs are able to sign any free agents delisted from the first list lodgement.
Clubs are then required to submit their second list lodgement on Wednesday 9 November followed by the second delisted free agency period from Thursday 10 November to Friday 18 November.
The NAB National Draft will then take place on Friday 25 November in Sydney, followed by the Preseason and Rookie Drafts on Monday 28 November.
At the National Draft, Fremantle will have three selections under 40, taking picks 7, 35 and 40 into the opening two rounds.
Clubs will then submit their final list lodgement on Wednesday 30 November.
LIST LODGEMENTS EXPLAINED
From the end of the season until the final list lodgement on November 30, all clubs are required to delist a minimum of three players, with player retirements counting as a delisting.
This final list lodgement can consist of anywhere between 38 and 47 players, with players listed as Senior, Rookie or Category B Rookie.
The Senior List will consist of at least 38 players, and is capped at a maximum of 40.
The Rookie List has no minimum, but can have up to six players, with the total combined number of Senior and Rookie players capped at 44
Clubs can then have up to three Category B Rookie players, which includes international players, international or NSW scholarship players, or rookie zone selections for clubs based in NSW and Queensland.
After the Trade Period, Fremantle currently has 36 players on their Senior List, 2 players on their Rookie List and 0 Category B Rookies.
