UPDATE: Fremantle have made two changes to their emergencies. Nathan Wilson (illness) and Neil Erasmus (Health and Safety Protocols) have come out of the squad and have been replaced by Josh Treacy and Sam Sturt. No changes have been made to the starting 22.

Fremantle have made three changes for Sunday’s clash with Brisbane at Optus Stadium.

Defender Ethan Hughes will come into the team for his first AFL game of 2022, while ruckman Lloyd Meek will return for his fifth game of the season.

Bailey Banfield is also technically an inclusion to the final 22 after playing a quarter against Melbourne as the medical sub replacement for Taberner.

The trio will replace Michael Walters (hamstring tightness), Matt Taberner (back) and Heath Chapman (hamstring).

Meek was one of Peel’s best against Claremont on Saturday with his 30 hit outs, 21 disposals and three tackles.

Ethan Hughes was taken over as an emergency for Fremantle’s round 11 clash with Narrm at the MCG but has played the previous five weeks in the WAFL for Peel.

The round is Fremantle’s Inaugural ‘Make Our Mark’ Charity Match in partnership with the Purple Hands Foundation.

The game will recognise the incredible work of the Foundation in the WA community while aiming to raise funds for the programs that are having a genuine impact on people’s lives.

The game between the second placed Lions and third placed Freo will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7 and Fox Footy and streamed on Kayo.

The blockbuster clash will see the AFL’s no.1 ranked defence (Fremantle) and no.1 ranked offence (Brisbane) go head-to-head in what is set to be an intriguing battle.
