Michael Walters will join his teammates in wearing the Indigenous Jumper he helped design for Sir Doug Nicholls Round on Sunday against Collingwood.

He is one of three ins for the clash alongside fellow forwards Matt Taberner and Sam Switkowski.

All three return from forced absences, with Walters in the Health and Safety Protocols, Taberner with a hamstring and Switkowski with concussion.

Both Walters and Switkowski missed just one game, Fremantle’s loss to Gold Coast, while Taberner last played in Fremantle’s round six win against Carlton.

They replace Darcy Tucker, Neil Erasmus and Josh Treacy, while Brandon Walker is technically an out after playing as a medical sub against Gold Coast.

Tucker, Erasmus, Walker and Lloyd Meek are the emergencies, with one of those four to be confirmed as the medical sub an hour before bouncedown.

Walters is the first Fremantle AFL player to have the chance to wear an Indigenous jumper he helped design, with previous jumpers designed by past Indigenous players.

“The players before me didn't get the opportunity to wear their designs. For me, I'm quite proud and lucky to be able to go out there with 22 other brothers and represent the jumper,” Walters said.

“I love this round, the whole AFL community embraces it and it’s something special. It will be incredible for me to be a part of that.”

The game will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7, Fox Footy and streamed on Kayo.
