Fremantle will be without Michael Walters and Nathan O'Driscoll for Sunday's clash against Gold Coast on Sunday at Metricon Stadium.
Walters has entered the AFL's Health and Safety Protocols while O'Driscoll has sustained a foot injury.
The pair are joined by Sam Switkowski as Fremantle's three omissions at this stage, with Switkowski sustaining a concussion in round eight against North Melbourne.
Neil Erasmus and Ethan Hughes have come into the extended squad alongside Rory Lobb, Blake Acres, Michael Frederick, Travis Colyer and Griffin Logue, who have all returned after a week in the AFL's Health and Safety Protocols.
Senior coach Justin Longmuir said it will be a tough job to finalise the team with so many players deserving of selection.
"I think that’s flirting with form a little bit, both individually and as a team," Longmuir said.
"Naturally we’ve managed to rest players through the weeks missed with COVID … so that’s probably where we’ll leave it.
"Bringing the six guys back (from the Health and Safety Protocols), it’s going to be tough. It’s a bit of a juggling act and we’ll have to work through that after training."
The final 22 and four emergencies will be finalised on Friday and announced at 3pm on fremantlefc.com.au.
Bouncedown for the clash is at 1.40pm EST (11.40am WST) on Sunday and will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7, Fox Footy and streamed on Kayo.
