Adelaide must choose a replacement for its star defender Daniel Talia ahead of Friday night's match agsinst Fremantle at AAMI Stadium.

The Crows' website reports that Luke Thompson, Andy Otten and Ricky Henderson were among a range of defensive options available for selection.

Thompson was pulled out of the SANFL on Sunday as a precaution. He has played one AFL game this season - against Geelong in round 18 - for a career total of 12.

Otten played his second game for South since returning from a knee injury he suffered playing with the Crows in round 17 and Henderson returned to league action with Central District. His last AFL games was against GWS in round 16.

Meanwhile, young forward/ruckman Josh Jenkins, who has played 11 AFL games this season, starred for Sturt in its win over Port Adelaide with eight goals.

The Adelaide squad for Friday night’s final will have a short training run on Thursday at AAMI Stadium from about 10.30am.
