Fremantle’s membership has grown by 5.45 per cent this year after it broke through 50,000 members for the first time in the club’s history.

The club recorded the sixth highest rate of growth in members in the competition, with 51,433 members signed up this season.

Overall, AFL clubs membership has risen by an average of 3.93 per cent in 2015, with 836,136 members across the country.

AFL club membership has risen every year in the 25 seasons since 1990 with the exception of 2000, when the AFL season was moved forward by a month to accommodate the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
