The 2015 season will go down in history for Doig Medallist Aaron Sandilands, after he broke two AFL ruck records.
Champion Data released a list of record-breaking statistics from the 2015 home and away season on Monday.
Sandilands racked up 423 hit-outs from throw-ins, the most since records began in 1999 and his 120 hit-outs to advantage were the most recorded since 2002.
It comes after Sandilands also broke the VFL/AFL record for most hit-outs in a single game in round 11 against the Gold Coast with 70, before North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein surpassed that with 80 later in the year.
Sandilands recorded a club record of 998 hit-outs in 2015.
