Fremantle have welcomed back four players into their final 22 ahead of Sunday’s round two clash with St Kilda at Optus Stadium.
Ruckman Sean Darcy and key defender Joel Hamling are joined by the versatile Travis Colyer and defender James Aish as the returning four to the Fremantle line-up.
The quartet will play in Freo’s first AFL home game of the year, which comes off the back of a thrilling one-point win over Adelaide in the round one season opener.
Darcy will line-up for his first AFL game of 2022 after recovering from a calf issue, while Hamling has been named in Fremantle’s defence for the first time in 372 days after ongoing ankle concerns have left the 28-year-old sidelined.
Colyer and Aish also come in for their first games of the season after missing out on selection last week.
Key defender Alex Pearce will captain the side in the absence of Nat Fyfe and last week’s stand-in skipper David Mundy.
Mundy joins defender Brennan Cox in isolation, after entering the AFL’s health and safety protocols on Thursday, and joins Josh Treacy and Liam Henry (both omitted) as the four outs from last week’s team.
Nathan O’Driscoll, Brandon Walker, Liam Henry and Josh Treacy have been named as the emergencies for the clash.
One of O’Driscoll, Walker, Henry or Treacy will be named as the medical sub one hour before bouncedown.
Bouncedown on Sunday is at 3:20pm, with the game broadcast live into Perth on 7Mate and nationally on Fox Footy, as well as on Kayo and the official AFL app.
